Sayvon is a third-year student in the Sport Management Ph.D. program. Prior to his entry into Texas A&M, he earned his Master of Education in Higher Education Management-Student Services concentration at University of Pittsburgh (2018) and Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Winston-Salem State University (2016). Broadly, his research focuses on intercollegiate sport with emphasis on college athlete experience/development, HBCU athletics, and college sport culture. He also holds interests in critically investigating the role of sport organizations within society, e.g. fan identity reflection and social currency via sport fandom.
